With the completion of construction of the O'Rourke Bridge, the entrance to Genesee Yacht Club changed in the spring of 2005.

For those familiar with the area, the club is now accessed through Marina drive, off of Pattonwood, which is at the traffic light directly opposite of Stutson Street Plaza.

For those less familiar, please refer to the following Maps

By Sea
Set your way point for the end of the Rochester Piers at: 43' 16" N, 77' 36" W.
Then head up the river past the Coast Guard Station, Rochester Yacht Club  and Shumway Marine. The GYC Club house and docks are on the east side of the river

Navigational Hazards and Points of Interest:

The Rochester Fast Ferry
The ferry dock is at the Rochester Terminal on the west side of the river, somewhat across from the Rochester Yacht Club.  When the ferry is entering or leaving port, other boat traffic on the river will be moved to east side of river and/or stopped and required to wait for the ferry to pass.

Hojack swing bridge
Just south of Rochester Yacht Club, in the middle of the river is the unused railroad bridge.  All non-commercial boat traffic must pass on the East side of the bridge.
