Objective:
To foster an artistic interest in the world around us.
Participants:
Open to GYC members, provisional members, and their immediate family.
Format:
Photographic prints of minimum size 9 x 7 inches, mounted on white or
pale cream card stock of maximum size 18x13 inches.
Categories:
Categories shall be set annually. Fifth year categories:
“The Best of
the Past”
“Creeks and Rivers”
“Shadows”
“Action”.
Entries:
Entries shall have been personally taken by the entrant, and shall be
limited to two per entrant per category. Entries shall be judged on
artistic merit, and appropriateness to the category. Entries may have a
typed title, but NO attribution. There will be a charge of $1.00 per photo
entered, to defray the costs of prizes.
Prizes:
There will be a prize for the best in each category, second prizes if
more than 8 entries in a category, and third prize if more than 12
entries in any category; and a prize for best in show.
Period:
All entries for 2010, except for “The Best of the Past”, shall have been
taken in the period between Dec 1st, 2009 and Sept 30th , 2010.
Photos due at GYC on Saturday, October 30, from 10
AM to noon. (new)
Judging:
Entries will be judged by a professional artist or photographer who is
not a member of the Club. Judging will take place on
Sunday, October 31 at 10:30 AM. All are welcome.
Winners to be announced at the club meeting, November 4. (new)
